Mrs. Cavallo, Piero, Sergio and Dino, we are extremely saddened to hear of the passing of Mr. Cavallo. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. May you remember him always as the loving father, husband and grandfather that he was.

We fondly remember running into him all over Bolton and he would always greet us with a loving smile, always asking how our family was doing in a caring way. May you all live long, healthy, happy lives so you can cherish his memory. We’re certain his kindness and goodness will be passed on for generations to come.

Rest in peace Mr. Cavallo. May your memory be eternal.

Condolence from Tony Cavallo, Nephew (son of Salvatore and Rosina) on October 21st, 2023 6:47 pm

My memories of him…I remember my father inviting my Uncle to come over to fix, repair and renovate our family home in Markham. I felt great empathy for Uncle Mario as my father screamed, cajoled and corrected my Uncle’s efforts to help him (Piero was often there when he grew older). But, mostly it was hilarious how these two brothers argued. Then afterward, they would sit down quietly for a glass of wine, or a snack . Now that’s family, no doubt.

I also recall a great number of times that we were invited as a family to the Bolton home, and Zia Maria would often corral visiting ladies to participate in the kitchen to the most extravagant and generous meals that we ever occasioned! Unforgettable, feasts. We were a real handful of guests, with often other families invited so these were celebrations of herculean dimensions! Uncle Mario did not often talk to me about himself (although I may not often given him the chance to squeeze two words, edgewise… He was the one who informed me that we have “two ears and one mouth for a reason”). I loved my Uncle Mario, as did many others! I know he loved his family, because as far as I could tell his words and actions belayed that sentiment. And, this sensitive man was loved by anyone who knew him. He was lovely, and special.

Mario Cavallo was a gift to the Salvatore Cavallo family, in particular. I’m grateful to God for him, and his family! Amy and I send our sincerest condolences!!

Condolence from Liliana Astorino on October 26th, 2023 3:19 pm

My sincere condolences to all of you.
It was an absolute pleasure meeting Mr. Cavallo and his most attentive loving sons.
In my short time in knowing him it was apparent how wonderful of a father he was.
He had such devout and doting sons that were so involved in his care. One could seee how proud he was of his sons and family.
He was a fighter and he was such a gentleman, one I will not forget.
Rest in peace and peace to your family in this very difficult time.

Sincerely Liliana
