Passed away on Friday, November 8, 2013, at Headwaters Health Care Centre, Orangeville, peacefully in her sleep, Marie Vieceli, Caledon East, at the age of 83 years. Marie was born in Dombasle, France. Beloved wife of Vittore Vieceli. Cherished mother of Jennifer and Robin Geofroy, Trinidad; Wanda and Peter Gaber, Alton. Adored Nanny of Joshua, Tasha, Becky and Heather. Loving sister of Jeanette Linkenheld, Felix Jurkowski and predeceased by Joseph Jurkowski.
The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street S. (Hwy. 50), Bolton (905-857-2213) Friday afternoon 2 – 4 and evening 7 – 9 o’clock.
Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday, November 16 at 12 o’clock.
Followed by cremation.
If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Headwaters Health Care Foundation, 100 Rolling Hills Drive, Orangeville, L9W 4X9.

I am a voice from the past when you were a Client at Wedgbury and Christian and building those houses on Hickman Street. I worked with you quite a bit and remember you well. I am very sorry about the passing of your wife. My sincere sympathy.

Dearest Pa, Jenny, Wanda & Family,
It is with deep sadness that I write this message to you all, as your beloved Ma was Ma to me too and I will miss her very much. Her laugh, smile, amazing polenta and sauce, pies, knitting and so much more…. a wonderful woman who was so strong and loving. My heart hurts for you all during this difficult time and I am praying that you find strength knowing that Ma is now your angel and will watch over all of you with her tender love, always and forever. Tante was my kind of lady….tough, outspoken, no non-sense…and she had the heart of a lioness. Anyone who saw her with her grandchildren could see her love for them and was there for them in good times and in bad. When I see pictures of her as a young woman I am humbled by her beauty. I told her several times to me…she was my Sophia Loren.
Rest in peace my dear aunt…you will be missed.

As I am indeed saddened by the loss of Zia Maria, she holds a special place in my heart for the precious godmother that she was to me and many others, I am sure. She will always be fondly remembered for her generous heart, lively approach to life and of course, the coffee chit-chats and laughter while enjoying her famous pies….
