My deepest condolences to Benito and all of Marie’s family. Marie was a close childhood friend of mine when growing up in England. I was saddened to hear of her passing. May she rest in peace.

Marie was my childhood icon whilst living in Rosehill, Wallsend England. She wore lovely clothes and shoes, which Margaret and I used to clatter around the back lane wearing, when she was out. Margaret was my best friend from 3 years old onwards and I always considered the Reid / Robertson family as an extension of my own. Over the years miles and circumstances have meant we have drifted apart but I will always cherish the time I knew Marie and all her UK family.

i was saddened to hear of marie’s passing..i didn’t know her name..i knew her as “liz’s mom” for i knew her from weston memorial..such a nice lady and she loved liz, that much i know is true…peace and love

It is a tribute to Marie’s bright ,warm and intelligent personality that I still remember her so well after more than 50 years. We were friends in Rosehill when she was in her teens and I remember her and her lovely family with great affection. My sincere condolences to her family.

I knew Marie from Rosehill and travelled to school with her every day to La Sagesse on the green bus at the bottom of the bank . Only Wallsend people will know where I mean !
She was a gentle and kind girl and was always held up to me by my mother as someone to emulate

Benito and Liz and family,
Jan and I were saddened of the passing of Marie. Marie, Benito, and Elizabeth were our neighbours on John Street in Weston for many years until they moved to Bolton. Marie had a kind and gentle way, and was so easy to get along with. Marie had an infectious laugh and we so enjoyed their friendship over the years.
Marie was great woman and will be sadly missed.
