Condolence from Allison (Coutts) Martin on November 6th, 2014 9:53 am

I grew up in St. Mary’s Parish and was lucky enough to have had Marian as my adopted Grandmother. She was a constant supportive and loving role model for me and I am so glad that I had her in my life. My condolences to everyone whose lives she has touched.

Aunt Marian was a gift to her family especially her beloved Mother and Father and her two brothers of whom she always spoke so fondly. The many students whose lives she touched will remember her with great fondness. We, who knew her as a friend, will cherish the times we spent together.
May God grant her peace…until we meet again, Marian!

Marion taught my son Stephen at Kleinburg Public School. We became very good friends. She loved to follow the progress of her students. She was a special lady and a wonderful teacher. We have all been blessed to have known her and our family has cherished memories. I know she is very happy now, she is with her family and her Lord.

My second year of teaching I was introduced to Marion. Her classroom was across the hall from mine. She proved to be my greatest cheerleader throughout the year.I will never forget the support and friendship she offered during a most challenging school year.
A few years later she attended my wedding.Later that summer we stopped into visit her.It was Labour Day Monday and she had already retired. She took one look at us and said,”Let’s toast returning to school with a large scotch”
I still use her recipe for meatloaf, it’s the best!

Condolence from Robert, Karin and Peaches Chamberlain on November 10th, 2014 12:16 am

We feel truly blessed to have known and loved Marian. Marian taught my husband Robert 65 years ago and he always affectionately referred to her as “Teach”. Marian and I became the best of friends when we moved just South of her home in Nobleton. She was a NaNa to our daughter Peaches and we all spent quite a bit of time together. Marian had such a great sense of humour (and style) and was just a joy to be with. I will cherish those special memories we made and hold them close to my heart. Hugs and Kisses Marian.

Condolence from Bruce and Pattie Harper on November 16th, 2014 5:34 pm

I met Marian when I went to work at the Bolton Golf and Curling club in 1964. It was there that I met and married my wife Pattie. Marian and her friends Margaret Archdekin, Sonia Nebozenko and Bev Bruton were quick to take Pattie under their wings and introduce her to golf and all of the fun and companionship it had to offer. Sure made my job easier.
Marian was the warmest, kindest and unassuming person you could ever meet.
Often on those rainy days when golf was out of the question the “girls” would take off and explore the countryside seeking out quaint little shops for treasures and would return to the club with a humorous tale to tell. They had so much fun together.
She made my nine year stay at the club an experience I’ll never forget.
Pattie and I think of her often and she’ll be forever in our hearts. We were so lucky to have had her as a part of our lives she brightened our days.
