It was very sad news to hear of Maria’s passing on Wednesday. Maria was a wonderfully kind person who had a huge heart for companion animals. It was a pleasure to have known her for so many years. My deepest sympathy goes out to Jack and other family members.

Maria and my mother (Ruth Johnson) often talked on the phone about
animal welfare and animal’s in need of help. My mother held her in very high regard. I am so very sorry for your loss.

I was sorry to read of your mother’s passing.
She was a wonderful person who cared deeply about animal welfare.
I remember ordering OSPCA Christmas cards from Maria ,which I think you delivered to my home at one time.
And I always looked forward to buying her delicious fruit cake with the proceeds going to AVA.
She will be missed by many who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Maria was an amazing person. She was a true animal advocate and she will be missed terribly. She was a terrific human being. We need more like her in this world.
