Peacefully, at Headwaters Health Care Centre, Orangeville, on Friday, June 19, 2020, Maria Anastasakos, at the age of 95 years.   Loving daughter of the late Virginia and Peter Anastasakos.   Fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews who live in Greece. Maria was one of the most loving siblings who ever existed.  She was intelligent, sophisticated, dedicated and always there to support and love.  Cherished Thea of Peter and Patricia, Palgrave; Gus and Mary, Toronto.  Proud Great-Thea of Dimitri, Michael, Victoria, and Lukas.   Treasured Godmother of Dimitri Alexopoulos.

She was an astute and successful self-employed business savvy woman of her times. Maria exceeded all expectations of her generation and gender by milestones. Maria was very devoted to her family and everyone she came across. All of us are very extremely proud of her accomplishments.

Due to the global pandemic, a private funeral service will be held in Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street S. (Hwy. 50), Bolton (905-857-2213).  Interment Laurel Hill Cemetery, Bolton.

Dear Maria! My old Loving, caring and affectionate friend and neighbor!
Never forget the first days that I noticed your kind caring eyes were so motherly looking after your little lonely girl across the street! It was so heartwarming to know there was someone out there in this new country watching for me. We became friends pretty quickly and we stayed connected ever since. I never forget your endless kindness, your cute mixed English and Greek conversations and your great advice!
My biggest regret will remain not to have seen you and not to get to say good bye and kiss your giving hands…
You will stay alive in my heart for ever…
Your little girl
Bersi
