Condolence from Trish Murphy on September 14th, 2010 9:36 pm

Thinking of everyone at this difficult time. The last time I saw your Mom she still had a bit of fire in her, shopping at Reitmans in Bolton.
Hoping many happy memories linger for you all.

Condolence from Kate Stokes (O’Donnell) on September 15th, 2010 7:08 am

My sincere sympathies for your family. Peggy was a very special lady and I know my parents (Ed & Rose O’Donnell) thought very highly of her. She was always invited over to our home after working at the Credit Union and would play euchre with them or just enjoy each others company. She always had a smile on her face and made you feel special. She made my mom her Irish soda bread and we all enjoyed this little treat. My heart and prayers are with you all and I will miss her.

To the Cregg Family

I was a classmate of Rose’s at St. Patrick’s. I joined the Marysfield Credit Union as a very young girl and Mrs. Cregg looked after me. Mrs. Cregg also continued to look after me when the Credit Union moved to Bolton. Her warm and friendly smile was also so nice to see. I often saw Peggy at Mass and in the shops. My family and I wish to express our deepest sorrow to you on the passing of your mother. I have lost both of my parents and know how much it hurts. our prayers are with you at this difficult time.

Condolence from Kathleen Hill (Adams) on September 17th, 2010 5:59 pm

I am so sorry you have lost your Mum. I loved her like my own. She came down to our house when I was sick and sat with me; she adviced Mom the best she could after Dad died;and even came to visit me when I lived in Brampton with my family when they were babies.I always made a point of seeing her when she came out to Alberta to visit Christine and her her father’s family.
Your Mum always shared the past with me. Our’s never wanted to talk about it. Did you know that your family and ours lived only a few houses away from each other in Belfast and had to come over to Canada to meet for the first time. I’ll never forget her and her smiling face. Love to all of you. Kathleen

I was very sorry to hear of your Mum’s passing. I have very fond memories of your Mum and particularly her smile at playing a winning hand at cards.

Glad to hear how you all had sometime to be with her at the end. It is at times like this that family and being together is so worthwhile.

May you all have great stories to tell when you get together and please remember me to all there.

God Bless

Condolence from Nora (Pollard) Jones. on October 4th, 2010 2:20 am

I remember well the arrival of the Cregg’s in Wildfield. I finally had lots of kids to play with. Many happy times were spent with Maire , Cathy and Teresa … it was great that my son Doug was so attached in the primary grades to Christina as well. The circle continued.
Peggy always had the time and patience with us. I will miss her last comments to me…we never get to visit any more…except at the funeral parlour. I’ll be there on Thursday.
Our thoughts are with you all.

Nora and Terry Jones

I was so sad when I heard the news. I remember Aunt Peggy’s infectious laugh, quick wit, and quiet, fun loving nature. I remember her singing with dad and the aggressive card games with mom. A calm and caring presence in our extended family, a great spirit – she will be missed.

Love & condolences
Siobhan
