Mrs Matson was my teacher at Lower Ninth Public School (on Highway 27 just north of No 7 Highway) many many years ago. I had seen her over the years the last being at Audrey’Jones birthday celebration. She was such a kind, soft spoken very classy woman. Thinking of all the family and memories of a time long ago. So sorry to learn of June’s Passing. I will treasure our phone calls recalling memories including the school bus to Weston Collegiate , the Wedding at Woodbridge United, dinners at the Town and Country and Junior Farmer dances etc. June always was so helpful setting me straight on connections and history of families in our community. My sincere condolences to all in the Family as you miss, yet celebrate your memories and accomplishments.

June was one of the best and I will miss her laugh, cooking and the cups of water that always came my way.

I have many memories of June when I lived at Bolton or visited my mother (Margaret {Peggy} Peel). Her quilting and pies are remembered but mostly her genuine heart and understanding ear to all. I will miss knowing she was there. My condolences to all the Matson family.

June was like a grandma to me. Living across the road I recall lots of visits to her home, skating on the pond, sitting in her kitchen enjoying whichever baked goods she had just made and great chats on into adulthood. She impressed me as a hard working lady able to take on any task required. I stopped in to see her a few years back and often think of her. She was a beauty, inside and out. Miss you June.

Dear Matson Family,
Dave and I would like to extend our sincere condolences to your family. June was always such a kindhearted, wonderful lady who we remember fondly. Several years ago, I was volunteering at a PC golf fundraiser at Caledon Woods. It turned out to be one of the coldest days ever and despite dressing warmly, I was absolutely freezing! I decided to go and see June and ask if I could borrow a coat! June made sure I had just the right one to wear for the day. We also shared many pleasant and memorable times together when Ann was Peel Dairy Princess and I was her Coordinator.
Truly an amazing family and June will be missed by all who had the pleasure to know her!

My heartfelt condolences to June’s beloved family. June was a long standing and dedicated member of Bolton United Church. During my time as minister there we developed a great relationship. She was profoundly fond of her family. They meant the world to her. She adored her grandchildren. I will truly miss our calls, I will hold every moment sacred. May your family find comfort in knowing that you are no longer struggling, you’re resting in the arms of your loving God, where your beloved husband and those who left before you have welcomed you to your final resting place.

Miss Bowman was the best grade one teacher anyone could ask for, as one of her first students at Lower #9 (Hwy # 7 and Hwy 27) Vaughan we tried to help her along as a new teacher, always helpful and fair.
