Peacefully, after a brief illness, at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital on Thursday, November 20, 2014, Margaret Bagley of Grand Valley, in her 90th year, beloved wife of 68 years of Gerald Victor Gates (deceased 2012). Loving mother of Lillian Anne Gates (deceased), and Betty and her husband John Boyce of Georgetown. Loving foster mother of George and Annette Fisher, and Gladys Fisher Broome. Cherished grandmother of Megan and her husband John Maschke, Jeff Boyce and his partner Alicia Wismer; Jaime, Derek and his partner Holly, Patrick, Kelly and his partner Beth Fisher; Victor, and Pamela Broome. Dear great-grandmother of Kenzi Maschke, Monroe Maschke, and Payden Fisher. Dear sister of Robert and Joan Bagley, Alfred and Audrey Bagley (both deceased). Dear sister-in-law of Marcella and Jack Keddy (both deceased), George (deceased) and Bea Maitland, Vernon (deceased) and Doreen Gates, Carol (deceased) and Rita Gates, Marie and Neil Meister.
The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home Baxter & Giles Chapel, 273 Broadway, Orangeville (519-941-2630) on Saturday morning, November 29 from 10 o’clock until time of funeral service in the chapel at 11 o’clock. Following a reception at the funeral home interment will take place in Morningside Cemetery, Palgrave. Dear Betty and family
It was just last night I was telling our children , grand children and
my sister Sandy, how you Mum or Dad would pick me up from school and take me to Brownies and Guides. Without their generosity I would not have been able to go. I never knew you had so many foster brothers and sisters but it doesn’t surprise me.
May the memory of beautiful your Mother and past treasured memories support you.

Very sorry to hear your mum has passed away. I have fond memories of both your mum and dad at your farm on the 10th line they were always so nice to me. I remember your mums boston baked beans they were so good,
She had a good long life,cherish the memories & good times.

It is with much sadness that we learn of the passing of your beloved
mother, mother-in-law and grandmother. Try to focus on all the wonderful memories that she has imparted onto your family and friends. She was certainly a courageous trooper to the end of her life and an amazing grandmother to her grandchildren.
She will never be forgotten !

Sorry to hear of your Mom’s passing. I have many fond memories of your Mom & Dad from the Lodge and the dances at the Black Horse and when they would come to visit with Mom & Dad at home. Always admired your Mom…she was so beautiful. Your parents were a great couple.
