Condolence from Katherine Dutchak on October 14th, 2020 4:40 pm

Dear Ken, Larry & Debbie and Family,
I’m so sorry to hear of the loss of your mother and our Aunt Lena. I know how close the family was to her and to the Hawryliw / Butula Clan over the many years. This is a difficult time for all of you but please know you have my family’s support and sympathy.
I remember how Auntie Lena worked so hard raising her family. She’d babysit me (early ‘60s) while my mom (Iris Luch) went to work at Eaton’s (Queens St). I’d meet up with David, Ken or Bob to walk me back to their house on Close Ave. Auntie Lena taught me how to iron clothes (with a few burns/scars here and there), she’d always ensure you were fell fed (with her delicious Ukrainian food) and kept clean at the same time. I can’t thank her enough for taking care of me.
I know that Auntie Lena meant a lot to each of you in your own way and those memories are treasures that you will always hold close. We will all miss her.
May God be with you & your families during this time and always.
Our Love
Kathy, Ernie, Kim, Adrian Dutchak & Marlin (Sonny) Luch

Auntie Lena was a truly remarkable women,.. generous, kind and caring. Although small in stature, she could be a force to be reckoned with!! ( just ask Ken, Larry & Deb)
Family was everything, and she did whatever needed to be done to keep hers safe and thriving.
I have so many wonderful memories of my beloved aunt,.. she was like a second Mom to me and I will always carry her in my heart.
Rest In Peace
Evelyn, Chris, Matthew, Brendan & Cailyn Webster
