Louise was here with us in April and during her time here she was admired by all. Her endless energy, smiles, positive outlook and not to mention her baking will be missed by the staff and the community. She will always be fondly remembered and never forgotten.

Louise was my “roomie” while Sani and during that time we forged a special bond. She taught me how to knit her famous socks, and we certainly shared many laughs over them. My sincere condolences to Louise’s family on her untimely passing . I was a classmate of hers at TWH back in the 60s and have many fond memories of Louise- she was always full of joy and enthusiasm. I visited her in California in 1967 and have a photo that I love of her and myself with another TWH classmate posing in front of a van painted with flowers at the corner of Haight Ashbury in the summer of love. Little did we know what the future would bring. We were so young and naive.
Louise went on to have a stellar career and worked post retirement in the far north and did more good then we will ever know.

While I don’t think I have met your mom, she sounded like an extraordinary person and I was always fascinated by your stories of her travels, especially to the arctic. Dear Louise, I did not know you long but you were a fellow addicted traveler and a lady of grace and charm that I was so pleased to have met. I will always remember us travelling the Maasai Mara and Serengeti together, marveling at the wonders of nature without a care in the world. I am so sorry for your loss. My daughter and I were part of the very extensive Peru/Ecuador trip Louise took a number of years ago. It was a pleasure to travel with her. She was definitely a lovely lady and one heck of a world class traveler.

Hello Ralph, Andrew, Lindsey and family;
Today I picked the Caledon Enterprise up and was sorry to see that Louise had passed away. Although I do not recall meeting her face to face, I remembered her as the voice on the phone when I called Ralph regarding 400 Squadron activities. The squadron was very good about posting the name of the spouse on the telephone list of squadron officers and Ralph was pretty much the first fellow I met in the mess after my first day at 400; post wings training. “Ralph and Louise” became one of the indelibly etched pairings in my memory of those early days.
A husband losing his life partner and a child losing their mother is a very significant thing. Please know in these days of sadness that across the distance in years and miles, you are not alone in grief. My heart is with you.

It is with a sad heart that I wish my condolence to you Ralph, and your family, on the passing of your loving wife Louise. Even though it’s been many years since we spent time together, you and Louis
are very much in my memories. I always enjoyed the fun times we spent together at 400 Sqn.
