Condolence from Lynda Bowerman on July 3rd, 2023 3:14 pm

Lois and Ken were wonderful neighbours and friends when we lived next door to them. We had many chats and laughs and enjoyed their company and friendship. We loved to see the parade of old classic cars pull into their driveway and line Donbay Drive, some great memories.

Lois was an amazing lady with a heart of gold and such a positive attitude and outlook. A bubbly personality and always had time to chat or say hello. Lois was such a handy lady, she could fix anything! I would tell her that, and she always said she learned everything from Ken. They were truly a wonderful couple.

Thinking of you all with love and hoping memories bring you comfort. My sincere condolences
.

Condolence from John & Rita Marchesan and Family on July 4th, 2023 9:55 pm

We are deeply saddened by the loss of our dear Lois. For 29 years we were fortunate to call her our neighbour but more importantly our friend. Ken and Lois watched our family grow up from their beautiful front window, ready with a wave whenever you’d pass by. Lois always had a way to put a smile on your face when she’d share a story or two. She was a remarkable woman and she will forever be remembered by us. We will miss you dearly Lois. Our deepest condolences to the whole family.

Condolence from Ruth Patterson on July 5th, 2023 9:14 am

Lois was a brave lady. We will miss her.
We visited at her home besides getting together for coffee on Sunday morning. Al would take some pants to repair for him. My sewing machine couldn’t go through the tough fabric of his work pants. We would visit while she sewd.
Sometimes I would share tea biscuits I had made. One time Lois phoned me and told me she thought they were better than her mom’s. I couldn’t accept such a compliment since her mother could turn out a pie just while you visited.
Lois loved her hockey and enjoyed your stories of the sport you followed. One time she gave me a pair of slippers in red and black. I put them in a basket I keep by the door. One time I was cleaning the basket out and paper was crackling in the slippers she made me. It was a note that said Go Raptors go. She was always up for having some fun. Funny thing is she kept asking me how I liked the slippers. When I found the note I phoned right away and had a laugh.
I have never seen someone knit so well and hardly look at her work. The knitting was so neat.
Rest in peace Lois.❤Al, Ruth, Craig and David
