From behalf of the Members of the Caledon Agricultural Society we wish to express our Condolences to the Mason Family. Our thoughts are with you.
When we moved to Caledon 18 hockey seasons ago, I found the Caledon community activities calendar and looked up “hockey”.
In it was the Bolton Oldtimers listing with Lloyd Mason’s name and number.
When I called that number this deep, gruff voice said, we play 10pm Thursday nights at Bolton Arena -come out and we’ll have a look at you. And when I went there I was welcomed by this big, smiling, friendly face.
Sheila and I were lucky enough to became part of this wonderful group of people and good friends with Lloyd, Jeanette, Bryan and Shawn.
We will surely miss Lloyd at the Thursday night scrimmages, the tournaments and the team barbeques and we are so sorry about that.
A quality man indeed.
So glad I made that phone call all those years ago.
Please accept our heartfelt condolences.
Bob and Sheila McHardy
