Peacefully, at Headwaters Health Care Centre, Orangeville, on Thursday, May 17, 2012, Lilian Leatherbarrow, in her 86th year, beloved wife of the late Brendan Clinch (deceased 1998). Loving mother of Pauline (deceased), Paul (deceased) and his wife Pat, Karen (deceased), Kevin, Peter and his wife Karen, and Michael (deceased). Cherished grandmother of Chris (Krista), Jenny (Jason), Darryl (Marie), Eric (Ashley) and great-grandmother of Cassidy, Brendan, Cali-May, Chloe, and Joe. Dear sister of Donald Leatherbarrow and his wife Lil, Barbara and her husband Alan Bennett.
The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home Baxter & Giles Chapel, 273 Broadway, Orangeville (519-941-2630) on Monday afternoon 2 – 4 and evening 7 – 9 o’clock. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Ann’s Parish Church, 120 First Avenue, Toronto, entering off DeGrassi Street (east of Broadview Avenue, just south of Gerrard Street East) on Tuesday morning, May 22 at 11 o’clock. Interment will follow at Pine Hills Cemetery (St. Clair Avenue East and Birchmount Road, Scarborough). If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Dufferin County, 25 Centennial Road, Unit 1, Orangeville L9W 1R1 (info@alzheimerdufferin.org) or the SickKids Foundation, 525 University Avenue, Toronto M5G 2L3 (www.sickkidsfoundation.com). Goodbye Mom Clinch, thank you for being my ‘other mother’ for 49 years, I dearly love you and will miss you. You have left me with many fond memories, & believe me, no one has ever made me a great cup of tea like you did! You can rest peacefully now with Pop Clinch, & your children Pauline, Paul, Karen and Michael. As per your request when we spoke last week, I promise to be here for Kevin and will keep in touch with him ….. Love Mary Jo

“Aunt Lil” was my godmother, and unfortunately, I just found out about her passing. I want to extend my condolences to her family. She was a sweet and gentle soul, and I’m sure she is greatly missed.
