Peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family, on Sunday, June 16, 2013, Leslie Wilson Jenkinson, in his 75th year, beloved husband of Lorna (nee Nixon) for 49 years. Loving father of Brenda and Blake Quies, Barb and Mike Patten, Sandra and Fraser Williamson. Cherished “Poppy” of Shane and Shalyn Quies and proud “Granddad” of Dean and Brett Patten. Dear brother of Ian and Pat, Ken and Sylvia, Wendy Jenkinson and the late Norbert Gogol and dear brother-in-law of John and the late Marion Nixon. He will be dearly missed by extended family and friends.

The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street S. (Hwy. 50), Bolton (905-857-2213) Thursday afternoon 2 – 4 and evening 7 – 9 o’clock.

Funeral service will be held in Mayfield United Church, 12496 Dixie Road, Caledon on Friday, June 21 at 2 o’clock.

Followed by cremation.

If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society; Mayfield United Church, 12496 Dixie Road, Caledon L7C 2L7; or Bethell Hospice Foundation, P.O. Box 75, Inglewood L7C 3L6.

Les was a very special person to a lot of people especially at Husky where he had worked for many years. He was my mentor and our friend, always a gentleman, ready to share whatever knowledge he had, calmly answering the many question put forward to him. He will be missed. Les was highly respected by many people at Husky. I had the privilege of working with him for quite a few years. He taught me so much over the years as he did with many. Whenever there was a question…Les always knew the answer:-) He was kind, genuine and someone I looked up to. He will never be forgotten.

Hello Lorna
My heart felt condolences to you and family.
I have been remembering all of the things that Less did for me in my early years on the farm and Young Peoples at church.
He took me and Brian and Bruce to shows & race track and smash up derby’s and Fishing.
He advised me in the art of girls as well and facts of life.
I will miss him and remember him with fond memories.
Sorry I can not attend Funeral due to other commitments.
