Condolence from Carol Kidd on December 8th, 2010 3:50 pm

Leo was a friend personally and a great friend to Caledon Meals on Wheels. I witnessed Leo’s caring and compassion when he would visit his wife Betty in The Davis Centre and bring along his two delightful little granddaughters- he was so faitfull in his visiting. Many times over the years, Leo came to our rescue by organizing shirts and hats for our volunteers, but also attracting donations from his Old Timers Hockey Club and from businesses he was connected to. Aside from all this support, we will miss the friendship of this lovely, caring gentleman.
Our deepest sympathies to his family from all the staff, volunteers and clients of Caledon Meals on Wheels.

My heartfelt sympathy to all of the Grant family. I enjoyed chatting with your Dad when he used to bring your Mom to Emerg at Etobicoke General. I was a nurse there. Now I am a nursing instructor and had the pleasure of meeting your Dad again on the 7th level. He enjoyed his family so much. Kind regards,

Elaine Willard (Chaddock)

Condolence from Bill and Suzi Moyer on December 9th, 2010 2:04 am

Every once in a while you meet someone who makes a positive impact on your life, Leo was one. We shared our motorcycle stories many times. I was very fortunate to play hockey with Leo on the Old Timers. Even in his late 70s he still had the touch, I only wish I had known him much longer than 12 years. Its been said many times but very appropriate here, gone but not forgotten.

All the best to Leo’s family.
Bill and Suzi Moyer.

Condolence from Nora and Terry Jones on December 18th, 2010 7:56 pm

To all Leo’s family-

Please accept our condolences and apologies for our tardiness. We were away on a 2 week trip but your many friends and neighbours were quick to let us know about your Dad’s passing by way of email.

We said a special prayer on the funeral day.

Leo was such a special inspiration for living life to the limit. I always greeted him with the words…”still playing hockey”? and “yes’ would be the answer.

Thinking of you…Nora and Terry.

Condolence from Christine Raftis on December 22nd, 2010 1:24 pm

My heart goes out to you and your families. It’s a terrible loss and Leo will definately be miseed by many of us Wildfield families that knew him well. Many a time, Leo would would travel to Tim Hortons in Bolton on his motorcycle and a number of us would be smiling at him as he would join us for a donut and coffee. Hold dear to the memories of your Dad and speak often of a great person he was. Our prayers are with you during this very sad time.
