Ken passed away peacefully at St. Joseph Health Centre. Born on September 21, 1929 in Albion Township to his parents, Earl and Helen Spinks, Ken is survived by his sister Beth.

He was married for 58 years to the love of his life, Dorothy Spinks (nee Morrison) deceased, and is survived by his children; Darrell (Anne) Spinks and Lynne (Jerry) McDougall and his grandchildren Laura, Adam, Rae.

He spent his career, memorably working for Lennox Industries, beginning on the manufacturing floor and working his way up to Vice-President Manufacturing for Canada. During his career Ken served in executive positions on numerous manufacturing, HVAC and gas industry associations.

Ken enjoyed spending time with his family at their Muskoka cottage and travelling extensively with his wife Dorothy, including wintering in Fort Lauderdale during retirement. During that time he also enjoyed friendships forged on the golf course at Weston Golf Club.

Ken will be remembered for his engaging personality, wry sense of humour and candid nature.

He will live on in the hearts and minds of many people whose lives he touched.

The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street S. (Hwy. 50), Bolton (905-857-2213) on Friday, November 17 from one o’clock until time of memorial service in the chapel at 2:30 p.m.

Charitable donations to charities of choice are preferred.

Condolence from Kate Stokes on November 14th, 2017 6:30 pm

My thoughts and prayers go out to Ken’s family and friends. I met Ken at the Woodbridge Legion a few years ago and started talking to him to discover that we knew a number of families up in the Albion and Caledon area. He brought in pictures from years gone by and we were able to place names to a number of those photos. He knew my parents and other relatives and related a few stories. This was truly a wonderful man to speak to and reminisce with. We chuckled through many memories of Albion, Caledon and WIldfield. I am so sorry to hear of Ken’s passing. He will be missed.

Thought about Ken today, not knowing he had passed. Ken has been an old friend, both him and Dorothy. Whenever I saw him, he was a breath of fresh air, jovial, opinionated, yet passionate about his interests. He will be sadly missed. Condolences to his family.
