Keith and Gisele have been my neighbours for the past 10 years. Everyone who past their house, got a friendly “hello”, a friendly chat and wishes for a good day. Keith had a huge heart and would do anything for those he cared for. My whole family and partner will miss his caring and cheerful ways more than we know.

So sorry to hear about Keith’s passing. I’ve worked at Eagle Ridge for the past 5 seasons. I mostly work weekend mornings, so I saw Keith regularly. He always was bright and cheerful. He looked very well at the staff Christmas party. Very sorry to hear the news.

Condolence from Kevin King on December 30th, 2011 2:52 pm

Hearing of Keith’s passing came as both a shock and sadness to everyone who knew him. Keith always had a smile on his face, and could make you laugh with just about anything he did.

I met Keith at Eagle Ridge three years ago when I started working there, but a guy like Keith is the type of guy that instantly you feel like you’ve known forever. He was a great person.

Keith, you’re in a better place now, we will all miss you.

“Ya ya ya” – Keith McCabe

Your friend, Kevin

Condolence from Dennis Moffatt on December 30th, 2011 3:37 pm

I was saddened to learn of the passing of Keith. He was the life blood of the Kinsmen Club of Bolton. He never missed a meeting and injected spirit and controversy into almost every one of them. He made a point to greet and speak with each individual present – every time.
On our many inter-club visits, Keith was usually first to meet & greet members of other clubs. He had countless friends in the clubs throughout our district.
Keith enthusiastically gave his support and time to virtually all activities the Bolton club undertook.
If Keith put the same amount of enthusiasm into the rest of his life as he did into KIN, he had a very fulfilling life indeed.

Dennis Moffatt, Past President and proud retired member of the
Kinsmen Club of Bolton

Condolence from Charlie & Colette on December 30th, 2011 6:23 pm

This was a shock for us when we received the phone call that my brother in-law (Keith) has passed away. My wife was telling me that Keith was the one that gave her, her first job at the Meadowglen. We knew him for at least 25 years or so. He was always teasing some of the family members for one reason or another. He would never stop, he was always on the go, he was energetic. The one thing he did was he filled my sister’s (Gisele) heart with love for many years. This love will still go on for years to come. You will be missed but not forgotten.

Gisele brother (Charles) and family

This was definatley shocking news, I worked with Keith at the golf course he was always willing to lend a hand. Every Saturday and Sunday he would have a cart ready for me to head out on the course. Always talked about “the woman of the house”. Great man that will surley be missed by all who knew him. My condolences to the family.

Condolence from Paige Boucher on December 30th, 2011 9:19 pm

I am shocked and saddened to hear of Keith’s passing.

I had the pleasure to have met Keith last summer in my first season working at Eagle Ridge golf course. He immediately took me under his wing and always made sure I was okay. I remember he would always have a golf cart ready for me in the morning, and would make sure I had everything before I went out to the Halfway, and when I forgot something (which was often) he would come to the rescue immediately. He had a big heart, and I cannot imagine working my first season without him, he taught me so much. Although it was only for a short time, he was a pleasure to work with. I am grateful to have the pleasure of knowing him, he will be missed. Rest in peace Keith.

My deepest condolences go out to Gisele whom he spoke of often.

Paige Boucher

We are deeply saddened by the loss of Keith. In addition to the many memories of this long-time friendly neighbour of the Clarkson family, one of our fondest is of the personal tour of the mushroom plant that Keith arranged back in the 1980’s; his knowledge of the production process was enthusiastically shared.
Keith’s comfortable presence will be missed by all who knew him.
Our prayers are with you.

Condolence from Teresa Pollitt on December 31st, 2011 9:08 am

For the past few years before I start my shift at the Bennett Center, I would stop and get my Timmy’s, and every morning there would be a smiling face accompanied with a “Good Morning my friend”

Keith was the start to our mornings, as I imagine to most people that got their morning coffee there. You could not walk into that store and not know who Keith was. So much so, that when I walked in there this week, and Keith wasn’t in his “usual greeting chair” I felt that somethig was off.

Mornings just aren’t the same.

My heart felt condolences to Keith’s wife ( who Keith always told us was his best friend) and to the rest of his family.
Keith touched many of us, even if it was with a simple “Good morning my friend”

Condolence from Gord Kenmir on January 3rd, 2012 2:41 pm

We were all shocked to hear the news. The sudden passing of an old friend. The condolences of my family go out to Keith’s family
friends, and acquaintances for their loss. As you read these messages you realize that Keith made a lot of friends over his 78 years. I am proud to have known him and to have been considered one of his Kinsmen friends for the past 36 years.

We all learned something from Keith McCabe, either a lesson in life, which he taught us, or perhaps a word of wisdom to follow and conduct our lives by. We all perhaps received different lessons, but we all came away being better persons for
having known him.

We’ll miss you buddy, your warm handshake, and friendly smile, but we will always remember you.

LM Gord Kenmir

Condolence from Susan Paterson on January 6th, 2012 9:43 pm

Dear Helen and family
I was out of the country and just read about Keith’s passing. My first thought was years ago when I worked at the Village Grill. It was Keith’s routine to come in each day and meet with Mr. Wiggs. The would sit there drink their coffee and usually complain about something. I always loved their passionate stances on plotics and such. Keith was definitely an important part of our town.
Helen ,the both of you were great neighbours when I was growing up.
My thoughts are with all of you.
Love
Susan Paterson (Weeks)
