Peacefully at Avalon Care Centre, Orangeville on Sunday, August 21, 2022, Karen Elizabeth Hamilton, at the age of 79 years, beloved wife of Ronald. Loving mother of Sean and his wife Wendy (deceased), Kelly McCaffrey, Michael and his wife Rita. Cherished grandmother of Adam McCaffrey and Brittany, Bradley McCaffrey and Krystal, Corey McCaffrey and Cassandra, Garrett Hamilton and Ali, Brendan Hamilton, Jacob and Matthew Hamilton. Proud great-grandmother of Sienna, Rozalina, and Cristian. Dear sister of Eleanor and her husband Doug Whibley, James (deceased) and his wife Carol Bond.
Private family service will take place.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Albion Bolton Community Centre, 2nd floor Auditorium, 150 Queen Street South, Bolton on Thursday, September 29, 2022 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. Light lunch, coffee and tea will be served.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.

As I am writing this, I find myself smiling thinking of all the good times I spent growing up with them, swimming, camping in back yard, baseball …too many to list. RIP Karen you were very loved and will be missed. Gone for now but never forgotten.
I first came to know Karen and Ron through the Caledon East Softball Association where they were both fixtures for many years.

My deepest condolences to all of you! My heart aches with sadness in hearing of Karen’s passing but I do take comfort in the belief that she is in a better place and is back being herself. I have so many great memories shared over countless years. Karen will always be in the hearts of so many people!

We were sorry to hear of Karen’s passing. She definitely left a legacy as a matriarch of Caledon East with all that she did for the community. Thinking of Ron, her children, grands and greats. I’m sure that there are many wonderful memories that will be talked about in the future, but for now, take care of each other during this very difficult time.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. I have very fond memories of Karen growing up, playing baseball or sewing something amazing for me. Her warm smile and wink will be missed but thought of often.

When I heard Karen had passed….I was immediately taken back to all of the memories we all shared together!!! On the ball field…the annual ladies weekends in Niagara Falls…trip to Mexico…and on and on! Again I am so sorry for your loss!

Love and big hugs to all you guys! It’s tough saying goodbye to a big part of my childhood. Auntie Karen was always fun and loving and so full of life, and that’s how I will remember her. Auntie Karen, sorry I didn’t appreciate that blue dress that you made me a long time ago, but it was a little too tight and itchy! I do, however, still have all the doll clothes you made me and they will be passed down.
