Condolence from Jeanie MacIntyre on April 30th, 2011 2:44 pm

Dear Sue,

I send my love to you and your beautiful family at this heart rending time in your lives. John’s tremendous love and pride of you, his children and grandchildren was alway so apparent. Everyone knew his family meant the world to him.

It is impossible to say in a few short words how I feel about John. Always a gracious man with a huge welcome and smile. Very few ‘special’ people have the knack of putting all at ease no matter the surroundings or situation as quickly and easily as he could.

His warm personality, sense of humour and zest for life drew so, so many to him. A great number of people will grieve for a long time over the loss of such an unforgettable man and his friendship.

I will sorely miss him.
Love always
Jeanie

Such wonderful memories I have of your dad – always joking and spoiling you – and us! He was so generous with a heart big enough to wrap all of us in it.

My heart is with you and your family Trace. I hope the love you feel gets you, your mom and your family through this – I know it will.

Wish I could be there to give you a hug, but I hope you feel it across the oceans.

Beams of love from my heart to yours,

Janis & Guy

Our love and deepest sympathy to Sue, Darcy, Tracy and family.

To Johnnie’s brothers and sisters and their families, you are in our thoughts and our hearts at this difficult time.

John was a childhood friend, a classmate from the good old days. Whenever we would see him, his smile and joy for life would bring us back to those carefree days; he was a special man and will be missed by many.

May God bless all of you.

Condolence from Nicole Sardelis, “Nick’s Daughter” on May 1st, 2011 8:19 pm

I was absolutely shocked this morning when I heard John’s name read in the prayers of the faithful. I am deeply saddened by this news. I can still remember John comming in to our restaurant, always with a warm genuine smile and a kind word for all. I have fond memories of when my family went to Florida to visit John and his family at his restaurant in Florida. More recently, I have seen John at Holy Family and he warmed my heart when he came to my dad, Nick Sardelis’s funeral even though our families had lost touch. I know that John will be abundantly missed and the world once again feels a little bit smaller and a little bit colder with the passing of such a wonderful man, husband and father. I know that John is at home in Heaven now, with our Heavenly Mother and Father. Rejoice that he is risen in Christ and one day you will all be together again. May God bless you and keep you. May you be blessed with loving memories of John. God please be with all of John’s family and friends during this horrible time. Lord, send your Spirit forth to be with them, to comfort them and to carry them when they can no longer walk forward on their own. Tearfully yours, Nicole

Condolence from Wayne & Carolyn Johnston on May 1st, 2011 10:24 pm

Condolence from Bob. McBride on May 2nd, 2011 9:40 am

I saw. John only a week or two ago we laughed and joked but the safest part is that one never knows it’s the last time we might see someone, the preciousness of life is something I have lamented over and over….Coming from a broadcast background I often told. John his beautiful baritone voice would sound wonderful on radio and tv , he always got a kick out of that when I told him….John was always such a caring friend and one Xmas party he had invited me to , he made absolutely sure that each and every person that attended was delivered home safely by taxi, a kind gentle soul, a dedicated successful business man, an excellent father and family man……at this exact moment in time I find it almost impossible to think that I will never see him again
Always in my heart, may Perpetual light shine always upon you. John
I am so grateful for the time I knew you ?.. I wish it was much longer
