The Mactaggarts are actually related to the Cairns so there is a distant connection . It is hard to lose someone who has been a big part of your life but I hope all the memories of your times together will help the smiles through the tears…all the best to you . Muriel (Goltz) Cairns

To John’s extended family; Sorry to hear of his passing. Can’t believe it. I would meet up with John at one of his many sites on delivery, we got along great, and he liked how I looked after his delivery requests. He was always full of questions. Is it tea time yet John ? It is time to rest. Bob Early.

Condolence from Lynn Sirove on July 7th, 2020 8:01 pm

I worked with John for many decades in Toronto and Midland. One could never keep up his pace for life and business. He knew his business inherently and had a guide to success which he demonstrated over many years. His zest for the good life may have contributed to his current demise; but I can assure you that John would not have done it any other way.
Our world just became a little smaller; We will all miss John!

Condolence from PHILIPPE BARDELLE on August 5th, 2020 10:12 am

‘Dr John’ and I first meet in Ottawa; This is winter 1994-1995, John has a vision for ELCAN. John is a quick decision-maker, our collaboration starts shortly thereafter.
I learnt a lot under John’s leadership during our 12-year collaboration and success story.
In many ways John has influenced my life; his mentoring initially has survived until today.

We resume our close relationship after a while, as I attend John’s retirement party at ‘the farm’.
Later, as he kept travelling the world, John would seldom miss the opportunity to stop in Paris/France to visit us.
My kids have grown up yet they do recall “Dr John” and his fancy Christmas ties and superb Hawaiian shirts (not worn simultaneously though !)

So is John; A unique, smart, sensitive, good-hearted being. John is very dear to my heart, he will not be forgotten.

From us all : Our thoughts to Bonnie whom we had met on a few occasions, as well as to all of John’s close.

Philippe (Bardelle)
Wife Natalie, children Oriane, Délia & Amaury
