Crocker Picture

Passed away suddenly on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at Brampton Civic Hospital surrounded by family.  John will be missed by his wife Evelyn, sons Derek (Lisa), Duane (Tara), Kevin (Amanda) and grandchildren Zoë, Jake, Cassidy, Madison, Connor and Rylee and siblings Linda Noseworthy (Cecil) and David (Susan).

John put family first and supported family endeavors.  He was proud of his three sons and enjoyed his six grandchildren.  John liked to travel with his family or as a couple and enjoyed time at home in the pool.

He was always upbeat with a good sense of humour.  Early on he went ice fishing and curling in the winter and camping or boating in the summer.  John coached hockey and soccer and was a Cub leader.  He was an avid reader, enjoyed country music and live theatre.  John liked to frequent the local hardware stores while completing home projects.

While John’s initial employment was with Honeywell and Universal Studios, he later created his own business and worked as a consultant.  In his retirement he worked part-time doing taxes.

John was an amazing husband, father, brother and friend.  He will be greatly missed.

A celebration of John’s life will be held on Saturday afternoon, November 12th from 1 to 3:30 p.m. in the Palgrave Community Room (attached to the Caledon Equestrian Centre), 200 Pine Avenue, Palgrave.   Moments of remembrance will be held at 2 p.m.

Private family burial.

If desired, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.

Dear Evelyn and family, what a shock for you all at the loss of your beloved John. I worked with him at Honeywell and last saw him a couple of years ago at a Honeywell get together. He was his usual cheerful self and that is what I will remember most about him – his cheerfulness, his warmth and his love of family. He was, simply, a really nice man. My sincere condolences at your sad loss. Frank Flower.

The world has lost a very special person and I am so sad to hear this news. My sincere condolences to Evelyn and the family. I have know John from when he worked at Honeywell and, with his friendly and larger than life personality, loved spending time with him. He was also super intelligent and completely dedicated – he would never let you down. Later he worked with us on a contract at InfoSol and, again, just fantastic to work with. I will miss his laugh and his sharp wit.
We have planted 100 trees in John’s honor. May they grow big and strong and bring happiness to people as John did in his life.

Dave and I were so sad to hear about John’s passing. He was always such an easy person to chat to….very upbeat, very funny, very well informed on so many subjects…. and so very likeable. A real gentleman in every way. He’ll be sorely missed. Royal Terrace Crescent won’t be quite the same without John’s cheery smile and friendly conversation. Our sincere condolences to Evelyn and the entire Clan.
