Sabina and Family,

We were so very sad to hear the news of Joe’s sudden passing. While we haven’t seen each other for a few years, the memories from back on Gilbert and later in Bolton will always remain. Memories of weddings, births of our kids, baptisms, parties and just sitting around chatting and having laughs will never be forgotten. Joe’s sense of humour, his stories, and mostly his love for his family are memories that I hope will provide you some comfort through this most difficult time. God Bless you and keep you in his care. Rest in Peace, Joe.

Kelley and Paul

Condolence from Ian haugh on November 3rd, 2021 2:29 pm

Joe had a special place in my childhood. He simply drove me to hockey, but somehow always used that finite time to offer life advice, sing loudly to bad radio, and goof around with Vito and I.

He was a person that impacted me because his love for life was contagious. He also helped me understand Italian culture – which offered key skills as our family merged with an Italian crew later in life.

This man was a special one. I send love to the family and the many that he impacted.

Condolence from Julie Covelli on November 3rd, 2021 10:16 pm

Joe, there will forever be a special place in my heart for you. I wish there could have been more moments as you always said it as it was and encouraged me to take risks at a time when I was just finding myself again.

Sabina, I am so sorry for your loss. I will never forget the weekend we shared in Florida a few years ago, entertained by Joe’s humorous tales and happy to share in his love of great food and fun. Joe’s love for you was so apparent whenever we were together and I hope that those amazing memories of true love carry you through the hard days ahead. Sending you lots of love and this link to watch when you are feeling up for it. It is Joe singing Sinatra’s “I Did It My Way” at Paolo’s birthday celebration a few years ago. A really beautiful memory!❤️

I am still at a loss for words. I am both shocked and devastated by your passing. You were one of the funniest, kindest, and warmest people I knew. I’ll never forget working with you in the summer. You always found a way to make going to work fun. Our early morning corn muffins, the way you called me Domenisk, and cheering for the Blue Jays together are memories I will always hold close to my heart. I’m going to miss your endless stories and how you told them. No one can tell a story better than Joe. Rest in peace.

Condolence from Shawn Maroney on November 4th, 2021 2:27 pm

Tonight I say goodbye to you, in person.
Since we met, you have crossed my mind daily. Not sure if that will ever change.
I will always cherish the time we shared.
The laughs. The stories. The memories.
I may not have a picture to remind me of you but,
when I work at my table, I will remember your generosity.
When I see small dogs, I will remember your kindness.
When I ride my bike, I will remember your passion.
When I see your family, I will remember your love.
When I see you again, brother….
Love Shawn

Rest in Paradise to my great friend and fellow Steelers buddy Joe. Him and I shared a passion and love for our favorite football team, but also our friendship went well beyond that. Joe and Sabina, along with the rest of their beautiful family have always treated me like one of their own. You’ll be missed brother, and I will always cherish our conversations and time spent together. Love you
