I have known my Aunt Jonannie since I was born. She was my favourite aunt! She was always full of fun, and we had many laughs over the years. She took Connor out fishing for the first time, and taught him how to catch fish. He talks about it often. I will miss her sense of humor and the little devil that was always inside her.

Gary, while our lives have not touched in some years, I was saddened to hear of you loss of your lovely wife JoAnne. I know words seem hollow at this time but please accept my condolences and prayers for you and your family. May JoAnne’s smile and love of life be always remembered with a smile.

We are devastated by the news of Joanne. She was so full of life. My children have been a part of her life for many years and now as young adults, feel the terrible void. Rick and I will remember all of the great fun we had when we got together at the cottage. I will remember her as the “queen of the lake”.

For not Joanne and Gary life as I know it would be so very different. As a first cousin and a recent graduate from Lakehead University in Thunder Bay I ventured west where Joanne and Gary very graciously took me into their home in Winnipeg. This made possible my career choice and place of employ to this day.
It is hard for me to imagine/remember Matt and John that there was actually a time before you both were born. Looking back I know she was looking forward to you to love even then.
