Joan

Peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family, on Wednesday June 4, 2014, Joan M. Gibson, of Everett, formerly of Palgrave, in her 74th year, beloved wife of Lewis Armstrong.  Loving mother of Lisa and her husband Doug Adams.  Cherished Nanny to Garth and Tyler.  Dear sister of Bob and his wife Jean Gibson, Palgrave.

The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street S. (Hwy. 50), Bolton (905-857-2213) Friday afternoon 2- 4 and evening 7 – 9 o’clock.  Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday afternoon, June 7, at 2:30 o’clock.  Interment Morningside Cemetery, Palgrave.

If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

I had the pleasure of working with Joan at Dufferin Area Hospital up until the time Joan retired.
She was wonderful, kind and had such a gentle way about her.

Each time we went to a car show I always looked for the two or you, I was hoping that you would come back to Chesley.

My deepest sympathy on Joan’s passing. I worked at Dufferin Area with her.She was the kindest, soft spoken person. Never spoke an unkind work or raised her voice always gentle and patient when drawing blood from difficult patients. She was a sweetheart! Just learned today about her death sorry for your loss !
