Peacefully, surrounded by her family at Hospice Simcoe, Barrie, on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, Jessie Lacalamita, Barrie, at the age of 79 years, beloved wife for 57 years of Giovanni (John) Lacalamita. Loving mother of Rosanna and her husband Robert Masci, Grace and her husband Dale Randell, Peter and his wife Nancy Lacalamita. Cherished Nonna of Daniel, Emily, Isabella, Victoria, Miranda, and Johnny. Dear daughter of the late Francesco and Grazia Mangialardi. Dear sister of Rosa and Nicola Giannini, Giudita Mastromarco, Margaret Mangialardi, Jenny and Peter DiSanto, Chiara Altobello, Giuseppe and Caterina Lacalamita, and Grazia Caputo and predeceased by Pietro and Domenico Mangialardi. Dear sister-in-law of the late Laura Alfonsi, Battista Altobello, Nicola Mastromarco, Saverio Alfonsi and Nicolo Caputo. Fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street S. (Hwy. 50), Bolton (905-857-2213) on Sunday from 2 – 4 and 5 – 7 o’clock.
Funeral Mass will be held in St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, 11873 The Gore Road, Brampton (Wildfield) on Monday morning, August 29 at 10 o’clock.
Entombment Assumption Cemetery, 6933 Tomken Road, Mississauga.
If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Hospice Simcoe.

We are heartbroken at the loss of Aunt Jessie: a bright flame extinguished way too soon. Always the life of the party, she is now dancing with the angels in heaven and probably even teaching them the cha cha!
