Condolences for the family of “Jennie Mary Crowe”

Condolence from Doug Trimble on January 7th, 2016 12:26 pm

I am so sorry to hear of Jennie’s passing, much too early. I worked at Peel CAS for 30 years and with Jennie for her entire employment there. She was a lovely, caring lady that was a role model to many and a valued friend to all. Jennie always bought light into a room and laughter into a conversation. She possessed a humanitarian spirit that cared deeply for all, and served all equally. She was our go-to gal. If anyone could fix it, Jennie could and would.
We all knew how much Jennie loved you, her family, how grateful she was for your presence in her life and how proud she was of you. She shared wonderful stories about family relationships and antics with us that endeared all of you to us.
She will forever be a valued part of the spirit of service of Peel Children’s Aid and as individuals we will forever be grateful for her friendship and love.

May the children , family and relatives of Jennie accept my condolences due to the passing of Jennie. As Director of Intake Services at Peel Children’s Aid Society(now retired) I have known Jennie as a warm, friendly and witty person who was dedicated and efficient in her role as a member of the Volunteer Department staff. She will be fondly remembered by all those who have encountered her. May she rest in peace, and may God bless family and relatives in all their future endeavours.

Condolence from Dudley and Susan Newell on January 8th, 2016 9:09 am

Our memories of Jennie, go way, way back to the time when she and Tony came to Edmonton. Tony was working at the Bank of Montreal, where he met my brother, Chuck. Shortly after that, they joined the Newell clan (my Mum and Dad, brothers and sister and spouses) and we met up. We had many happy visits together, both in Edmonton and also Grand Prairie. We even took Tim to ‘mighty’ Lake Wabamun, near Edmonton for a camping expedition.
We also have a small 8mm film of the family visit to England in 1977, when Jennie and co. met us, including our daughter Kate, in Bramhall, and went on a happy trip to Yorkshire. ‘Four birds flew in and four birds waddled out’ Jennie wrote!
Our memories and affection of Jennie and the family have remained strong and warm. We send our sympathies to all the family.

Jennie and I worked at Peel CAS for as long as she was there. We met at lunch and had a few stories to share of our grand children and her Mom.
Jennie was a wonderful person. I never heard her complain about any thing. She had a great smile and she was always ready to help.
I am so sorry for your loss and our loss of such a wonderful women who was so full of life. I will never forget her love for her job and the commitment she had to the volunteers.
World has lost a great volunteer.
I wish her family will keep her memory alive and find the strength to live with her loss.
To all the grand children….She is watching over you. Keep on smiling she would not want you to be sad.

Condolence from Barb Imrie on January 9th, 2016 7:02 pm

I only had the pleasure of knowing Jennie briefly. She agreed to be the volunteer coordinator of albion hills community farm (I am one of the founding board members).
Her humour and her dedication will be missed.
My sincere condolences to her family and friends.
