Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, at Matthews House Hospice, Alliston, on Sunday, September 14, 2025, Jean Squires, at the age of 83 years, beloved wife of Terence.  Loving mother of Susan and her husband Gordon Shearer, Paul and his wife Julia Squires.  Proud grandmother of Kathryn, Michael, and Victoria Shearer. 

Honouring Jean’s wishes, cremation has taken place.  The family will receive their friends at Christ Church Anglican, 22 Nancy Street, Bolton, on Saturday morning, September 27 from 10 o’clock until time of a celebration of Jean’s life at 11 o’clock.  A reception will follow in the parish hall.

Terry and family, so very sorry to hear of Jean’s passing. She was a wonderful lady and a fighter. A longtime member of Christ Church and active volunteer. She will be missed by many.

Terry and Family … So sorry to hear of Jean’s passing. I first met Jean when she worked at the little gift store on Queen Street and later we worked together at Bolton Forist..she was such a lovely lady. She also taught me how to paint Ukranian Easter Eggs. My deepest condolences to you at this sad time
