Linda/Mike we would like to express our condolences at this time. Janet knows how much time of caring and efforts you both made to make a difference in her life after she became ill even thou you had your personal Health problems. I’m sure Janet appreciated all the love, time and caring you did for her. Remember she is good hand and god came and got her at Easter time which was one of her favorite time. She is now finally at Peace and keep an eye on you

Condolence from Lorraine (Pudgy) Pilon-Quast on April 26th, 2014 10:18 pm

Many decades have passed since our family made the annual trek from Kirkland Lake to Toronto. I have so many childhood memories of the fabulous times we had playing with Janet and all her brothers and sisters. I still don’t know how Aunt Dorothy managed to find space for our family of four to sleep. We really had such fun. It was difficult to know she had been hospitalized for so long but how lovely that she had such loving care from LInda and Mike. It’s so sad that she’s gone from your lives but I hope you find strength in one another and that together, you celebrate her life.

Jan. You’re on the last leg of your journey, The Stairway to Heaven. Michael and I will treasure the time we shared with you, especially at Tim Hortons having a coffee and butter tart. That was the best. The walks around the neighbourhood and at the park for the soccer games or watching the children on the swings. The laughs with the nurses and your loud boisterous voice, I’m sure they all miss that. I will miss your hand reaching out for mine and your big smile when I’d arrive for a visit. Michael is already missing your hand rubbing over his bald head. Anyway, enjoy your journey, check out the stars as you pass by. We will be checking out for your star. It will be the shiniest, twinkling down upon us. Soon you’ll be with Dad, Mom and your dogs, Brandy, Ginny, and Chyna. They’re all waiting for you. Say a big Hi! for us all as we miss them too. I know you’ll fit in just fine.
Take care, love you lots, Linda and Michael

Jan,

I have so many awesome memories of sailing with you to the Toronto Islands, socialling on the boat with your friends and a few shopping trips.

After a lengthy health battle you are now in a peaceful place with your parents who you loved and cared for so much and your golden retrievers who were your life.

Thank you Linda and Mike for all the love and care that you gave to Janet over these years.

My thoughts and sincere condolences go to the whole family at this difficult time. I can’t imagine what losing a sibling must be like.

Love Cathy and Jake
