I was shocked and saddened to hear the news. I worked and socialized with Jamie in the mid 90’s. His commitment, integrity and big heart made him one of the better and more trustworthy police officers I ever worked with. One of the good guys. He leaves a great legacy, fit to be proud of. My sincere condolences.

Svetlana, Ken and Ann, Chris and Lisa, Greg, Shane and Shawna, Madigan, Emilia, and all of Jamie’s nieces and nephews, we were very saddened to hear of Jamie’s passing. We have been so privileged to have been a part of Jamie’s family when Greg and Dee married. We know he was loved so deeply and will leave a huge hole in the family’s hearts. I dispatched Jamie for many years and he truly was a pleasure to dispatch. He was always so kind, helpful and recognized those who did a great job. I am sorry to all Jamie’s friends and family for their loss. He will be missed.

Oh my goodness, this is the Jamie Gillespie who I knew well, who was married to a friend Svetlana from Bolton. Jamie was such a good man, quiet, committed and loved life. I am so sad to hear of his passing and I wish Svetlana and his family lots of strength and resolve at this challenging time. God rest his soul and bless his family!

Jamie had an infectious smile and a great personality. Jamie dedicated his life to the policing profession and was respected and loved by his colleagues.

My deepest Condolence for the Family, Jamie was an excellent person. Revelation 21 :4 And will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.

I worked with Jamie for his first 10 years of policing in Kitchener. From day 1 he was one of the most upbeat people I had met, and i was sorry to see him leave for the OPP, but they were better for having him. He was a dedicated police officer, colleague and friend, and was part of the glue that held P3 together. I was overwhelmed sadness when I heard this news.
He will be deeply missed by all.
