Mason Matson, in his 85th year, passed away peacefully at his residence in Grand Valley on Tuesday, June 27, 2023. Cherished son of the late Stewart and Anna Matson.
Visitation will be held at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street S. (Hwy 50), Bolton (905-857-2213) on Thursday, July 6 from one until time of funeral service at the funeral home at 2 o’clock. Interment Morningside Cemetery, Pine Street, Palgrave.

My condolences to the Family . Never knew this leg of Matson Family but I am related.

It was a pleasure to have known Mason and to have shared many talks and laughs with him. I will cherish his art work that I have hanging in my office.
Mason was kind, funny, brave. He fought through some really difficult challenges. I still can’t get used to the idea that I won’t see him roaming the halls of the office or coming by looking for paper to shred.
I was so fortunate to have known him.
Jeff has asked me to share that Mason’s favourite song at Friendship Club was Joy, Joy, Joy. He says it will always make him think of Mason.
In loving memory of our dear cousin Mason whose cheerful presence was felt and enjoyed at all our family gatherings.

Mason was a compassionate, brave and funny father to me and it was a privilege knowing him. My thought is with the family at this difficult time. May his soul rest in peace!
Dearest Mason, Rest in peace. You brought great joy to my life for many years! Your spirit will live on forever. Blessed to have known you!!

I worked at Masons home when I first started as a student at CLD.
He was one of a kind.
We had the same love for baseball so for a few years he attended my ball tournament.
After him meeting my family it was discovered he use to rock my mom in a baby carriage at the baseball field in Palgrave.
I will hold my one of kind painting close and keeping using your phrase “A1!”
Until we meet again my friend, I am so glad I had the pleasure of knowing you <3
