Passed away at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Durham on Friday, May 18th, 2012. John Emerson “Jack” La Rose, of Durham and formerly of Inglewood, in his 97th year, beloved husband of the late Evelyn Perry. Dear father of Ruth and her husband Keith Allen of Stoney Lake. Remembered by his grandchildren Brenda Allen, Charles (Brenda) La Rose, David (Rose) La Rose, Paul (Brenda) La Rose and his many great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his grandson Mark Allen, his son Murray La Rose, and his brother Lloyd La Rose. Jack was a 60 year member of the Masonic Lodge and was a recipient of the William Mercer Wilson medal.

Friends may call at the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home, Durham on Monday, May 21st from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m., where members of the Masonic Lodge #306 will hold a memorial service at 7 p.m.

The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street South (Hwy. 50), Bolton (905-857-2213) on Tuesday morning, May 22 from 10 o’clock until time of funeral service in the chapel at 11 o’clock.

Following a reception at the funeral home, interment will be held at Meadowvale Cemetery, Brampton.

If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Durham Medical Clinic, P.O. Box 1407, Durham N0G 1R0 or the Children’s Wish Foundation, 7-725 Westney Road South Ajax L1S 7J7.
