Condolence from Nancy Ailles on October 5th, 2010 7:54 pm

They are not dead,
Who leave us this great heritage of remembering joy.

They still live in our hearts,
In the happiness we knew, in the dreams we shared.

They still breathe,
In the lingering fragrance, windblown, from their favourite flowers.

They still smile in the moonlight’s silver,
And laugh in the sunlight’s sparking gold.

They still speak in the echoes of the words we’ve heard them say again and again.

They still move,
In the rhythm of waving grasses, in the dance of the tossing branches.

They are not dead;
Their memory is warm in our hearts, comfort in our sorrow.

They are not apart from us, but part of us,

For love is eternal,
And those we love shall be with us throughout all eternity

Condolence from Romolo Family on October 5th, 2010 8:33 pm

Perhaps they are not stars, but rather openings in Heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know that are happy.

Our deepest condolences.

I am so sorry to learn of Isabel’s passing. Isabel was the first to guide me round the course at Bradford’s Highlands. Always encouraging and never without a sense of humour, she was a terrific golf buddy. I couldn’t spend as much time out on the course this season – I only wish now I had. A wonderful woman and good soul, Isabel had nothing but love and praise for her family, she will be greatly missed. I’m keeping my head up, Isabel.

Bruce,Brian Kaylie: Fond memories rush to the forefront of my mind as I remember the friendship I enjoyed with Isabel and all of you-our first golf game together-so embarrassed to play we walked to the second tee to start!- and the first time we hit the ski slopes all those years ago–and then there were the Big Bay Point weekends….long ago and far away it seems. I have not golfed or gone skiing since I left Canada-it just would not have been as much fun without my buddy…and then there were the weekends when we all gathered up at Big bay Point-bandits all of us…and no-one will know what all this means except Isabel……Fondly,Mary

Condolence from Pat & Larry Trerice on October 10th, 2010 3:40 pm

Dear Bruce, Kaylie, Brian, Tracey & family, and Sharon & Trevor,
We first met Isabel in 1960 when she and I worked in the District Office (South) on University Avenue. I was needing a place to live and she helped me get a room at Willard Hall where she was living. We used to walk back & forth to work together. What fun times we had! Over the years, we had lost touch because of our living locations. When we heard the news of her passing, we were deeply saddened. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
We hope to be present at the Welsh wake on the 17th to share memories of her with you and her many firends. God Bless!

Reading through the messages of condolence, it is obvious Isabel left an indelible mark on the people whose lives she touched. May these memories help to bring you peace in the cold winter of your loss.

God bless,

You can shed tears that she is gone,
Or you can smile because she lived.
You can close your eyes and pray that she will come back,
Or you can open your eyes and see all that she has left,
Your heart can be empty because you can’t see her,
Or you can be full of the love that you shared,You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday,
Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday,
You can remember her and only that she is gone,
Or you can cherish her memory and let it live on,
You can cry and close your mind be empty and turn your back,
Or you can do what she would want : Open your eyes and love and go on.
