I have such fond memories of the beautiful Mrs. Hayward. Recently I sat with her at a funeral and thanked her for bringing a truck load of kids to my summer playground at Herb Campbell P.S. Each day. The more kids that came meant a raise in pay so I was very grateful when all those Hayward kids piled out of the tailgate. She turned to me and said, “No. I WAS THE THANKFUL ONE”!
It is very true…. A funny story floods the heart with love!

Isabelle was a wonderful lady who endeared herself to many, both in the Caledon East area and Mount Forest area. She will be sorrowfully missed
. Isabelle has been one of those people whom I grew up knowing as she cared for her family and her many friends within the community. Although I do not know each of her children personally, many of you are well known by name and some better.I attended many Christmas concerts way back when you were children too. I have had the privilege of teaching at least 2 of her grandchildren a few years back.

I was sorry to hear of her passing. As Ken and Joan would know I did not know her personally but I sure knew who she was. From when I moved to the Mount Forest area a few years ago her photo appeared frequently – always in reference to her involvement within the community. I guess in some ways you come to know people by what you hear or read about them and from that I can say she was a wonderful person.

Dear Grandma,

I am so glad that I had the opportunity to sit down with you and speak about our family history. I will forever remember that conversation, as it reminds me of what a great privilege it is to be a Hayward. You are a role model to so many, including myself. No one lived a fuller life, and you have left this earth with a legacy that will continue to honour our family name for generations to come. I have always been proud to be a Hayward because it stands for hard work ethic, independence , and integrity; values that you instilled in all of your children.
I only wish you could have been there to see me graduate from Osgoode this year,and share in many more milestones, but I know that you will be there in spirit.

I was saddened to hear of Isabel’s passing and will so much miss chatting with her as she always had a story to share and told it with her infectious smile and twinkle in her eyes! It was almost always about her wonderful family whom she treasured dearly. She was a great lady and will be missed but so wonderful to remember the legacy she has created and will now by nurturing from above as she watches over us all with that same infectious smile and twinkle in her eye!
