Iris

Peacefully, at Avalon Retirement Centre, Orangeville, on Sunday, May 8, 2011, Iris Reid, in her 77th year, beloved wife of the late Norman Noseworthy (2009). Loving mother of Bruce and Venecia, Norman and Liz, Debra Toth and Mark, Bill and Brenda, Richard and Susan. Cherished grandmother of 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Kenneth Reid, Doris Faulkner, Peggy Carpenter and Edna Butler. Predeceased by her parents Gertrude (nee Barnes) and William Reid and brothers Donald, Edgar, Bruce and Cyril Reid.
The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home Baxter & Giles Chapel, 273 Broadway, Orangeville (519-941-2630) on Tuesday afternoon 2 – 4 and evening 7 – 9 o’clock. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday, May 11 at 1:30 o’clock. Followed by cremation. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Dufferin, 25 Centennial Road, Orangeville L9W 1R1. Condolences for the family may be offered at www.EganFuneralHome.com

To Iris’ children and also Siblings Ken, Doris,Peggy and Edna: So sorry to hear about the passing of your Mother/Sister. I think of Iris as a very quiet, gentle person, much like the memories I hold of her own Mother. From my own experience at present, I can very much sympathize with what the family has gone through . Alzheimers is a dreadful condition to deal with. Take care.
