Peacefully, at Headwaters Health Care Centre, Orangeville on Friday, May 1, 2009, Rene Cotton, in her 78th year, beloved wife of Jim Thayer, Orangeville, and the late Dean Rankin. Cherished mother of Debbie and Ken Foster, Grand Valley; Doug and Lou Rankin, Yellowknife, N.W.T.; Beverley Rankin and David Byrne, New Hampshire, U.S.A.; Bob and Jackie Rankin, Rockwood. Dear step-mother of Connie and Scott Stewart, Rick and Joyce Thayer. Fondly remembered by her 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Herb Cotton, Ches and Marje Cotton. The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home Baxter & Giles Chapel, 273 Broadway, Orangeville (519-941-2630) Monday evening 7 – 9 o’clock. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday, May 5 at 2 o’clock. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery, Orangeville.
