Suddenly at his home, Kleinburg, on Thursday, July 26, 2012, Ian Forbes, in his 85th year, loved husband of Doreen Sparrow for 62 years. Dear father of Bif and Teresa, Bruce and his pet Billy, Scott and Carol. Cherished grandfather of Steve and Izabela, Colleen, Scottie, Bruce, Bradley and Kristin; Robbie and Melanie, Penny and Tamara. Proud great-grandfather of Taylor and Evan; Brooklyn andAddison; Alexis. Will be missed by his pet companion Willie.
The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home,203 Queen Street S. (Hwy. 50),Bolton (905-857-2213) Monday morning, July 30 from 9:30 until time of funeral service in the chapel at 11 o’clock. Followed by cremation.
If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Caledon Seniors Rotary Place,7 Rotarian Way,Bolton L7E 1Y2.

Doreen – Alice and I were so sorry to get the phone call from Hobbie about Ian.
We all had interesting and fun times together over the Kellogg years.
Alice and I are keeping well and would love to have seen you, but unfortunately will be driving from our cottage to north of Ottawa on Monday so will be unable to get to Egan.

To the Forbes Family: So sorry for the loss of your father/grandfather. It was great to see Ian at Robbie & Melanie’s shower last Sunday and Rick enjoyed the long conversation he had with him. We didn’t know him really well, but always felt he was a kind and caring person. Hopefully time will help put your deep sorrows behind and leave fond happy memories.

Our condolences go out to the family, Ian was a dear friend and always happy to be with friends, he was a logical man with practicle advice, one of the best pieces of advice that he gave to me and i would like to pass it on was, ” Do It While You Can”. wether it be going on a trip, spending time with loved ones, or having a cheer. Ian was a regular at my auctions for a number of years. He always had a good word for everyone and was a perfect gentleman. I remember him very fondly. My condolences to the family.
