I just wanted to pass on my condolences to you and the rest of the family and also to share some of the fond memories that we all have of Tanta Heika.

It is times like these that you sit back and reflect on how precious life is and how quickly it passes by. I would hope that people would sit back and smile when they think of some of thing lovely things that have been said by others already and remember some of the experiences they may have shared with Tanta Heika. When I sit back and do that for Tanta Heike the first thing that comes to my mind was her warmth, smile, honesty and hugs. For just one of the memories, when I have made the long journey from Australia for visits we would always find time for a shopping spree ‘to help improve the economy’, and for Oncle Wolfgang to make sure we buy for a life time.

Sad to say goodbye to you Tanta Heika, without the tears running down may cheeks, but would like to say, you will always be in our hearts and minds.

What a shock when we heard the sad news! She became such a special friend after our fun times in the aquafit classes. When we ventured off together, she was always so much fun to be with and always admired how well she dressed. We just found out about Heike’s passing. I absolutely enjoyed working with Heike at Dr. Oetker. So many fond memories : driving her crazy when she would try and reconcile our annual holidays that were (not) left over, her intoxicating pleasant manner and of course her laughing at us trying to speak German ( sort of Hogan’s Heroes style ). What a great Lady.
