Peacefully, with her family by her side, at Etobicoke General Hospital, on Monday, June 25, 2012, Greta Hutterer, long time former resident of Caledon East, in her 96th year, beloved wife of the late John Hutterer. Loving mother of John and Pat, Orangeville; Margaret and Ralph, Mansfield; June and Nick, Woodbridge. Fondly remembered by her 8 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street S. (Hwy. 50), Bolton (905-857-2213) Wednesday afternoon 2 – 4 and evening 7 – 9 o’clock.
Funeral Mass will be held in St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 16066 The Gore Road, Caledon on Thursday, June 28 at 2 o’clock (leaving funeral home at 1:30 p.m.).
Interment St. John’s Cemetery, Caledon.
If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Lung Association, 1550 Enterprise Road, Suite 208, Mississauga L4W 4P4.

I certainly didn’t know her well but her beautiful blue eyes just mesmorized me the few times I met her. She was full of life and always had a smile when I saw her. Kindest and best wishes to the Hutterer family. Hugs.

Greta was an amazing genuine Lady with a big heart. Always thoughtful and concerned about others.
She loved her family, friends and her bingo.
Her sparkling piercing blue eyes captured all.
She will be truly missed and always remembered and loved.

I have fond memories as a young child swimming in the Hutterer Public swimming pool in Caledon East. Greta was always nice to our family and I remember having banana ice cream. Sorry to the family for your loss.

I have known Greta for a long time. For many years I have thought of her as my second mother. She was kind loving and compassionate. I will miss her. My deepest sympathy goes out to her family.

we have fond memories of Poplar Park aand also the “open door” policy that our Dad had at their Caledon East home. We also remember the tasty streudel that Dad brought home for us! May your happy memories help you through this difficult time.
