Peacefully at Eagle Terrace, Newmarket on Sunday, May 7, 2017, Gladys Jean Piper, in her 91st year, beloved wife of the late Charles Piper and beloved partner of the late Bruce Peelar. Loving mother of Charlie (Tracey), Shaun (Diane), Gary (Mary) and Barbara (Kevin). Cherished grandmother of 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of nine brothers and sisters.
The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street S. (Hwy. 50), Bolton (905-857-2213) Monday morning, May 15 from 10 o’clock until time of memorial service in the chapel at 11 o’clock.
Followed by interment of cremated remains in Beechwood Cemetery, Concord.
If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Sorry to hear of the loss of your Mom. Our Moms were very close and I sometimes think that had we stayed in Ontario that our Moms would of been the very, very best of friends. As it was they loved each other. Barbara was named after my beloved Mom so close was their friendship. Blessings to you all and my sympathy at your loss.

I will never forget how nice Gladys was to me during our time. She amazed me at what a tough old bird she was and I was glad I was there for her in a time she needed it. She is back in the arms of Chuck I am sure of it.

Charlie and family very sorry to hear of your loss. Your mom was such a beautiful person who always made me feel welcome whenever we visit her with you. It is easy to tell where you get your friendly personality from with having such a nice mom. Moms are very special and I know how much it hurts to lose someone you love so much.
