Born Mount Pleasant, P.E.I.
Passed away peacefully, with family at his side, at Brampton Civic Hospital on Thursday, September 29, 2016, George MacKinnon, in his 86th year. Beloved father of Nick and his wife Lynn, Mitch (deceased), Fran and partner Terry, and Zoe (deceased). Dear grandfather of Melissa and her husband Marco, Clea and Jake. Great-grandfather of Sebastian, born this past July. George was one of 13 children and will be sadly missed by his surviving sisters Eileen and Glenn.
Private cremation to be held. If desired, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Arrangements by Egan Funeral Home, Bolton (905-857-2213). Condolences for the family may be offered at www.EganFuneralHome.com.

George you were quite the interesting character. I didn’t know you well but feel like I did through stories Fran would share. My deepest sympathies Fran. I know you will miss his nightly phone calls and his colourful conversations. RIP George. Love Janice

There are no words that can take away the sorrow you are feeling. I do know that over these last few years you made your father a very happy and content man for which he was grateful. It was a time he needed you most and you were there.
As difficult as it was at times you will only remember and cherish to good times.

Fran – so sorry to hear of George’s passing and regret that I was not fortunate enough to have seen him for many years. It must be comforting to know how happy he was over the last several years living so close to family. Our thoughts are with your entire family during this difficult time.
