Esther Ellie Gillwald, born on April 7, 1959 in Toronto, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 25, 2025 at St. Joseph’s Villa in Dundas, Ontario, which she cherished as her safe haven. She was 66 years old.
Esther will be lovingly remembered by her sister, Barbara Davis (Gillwald) and husband Karl. She was an aunt to Keith and Elizabeth, Kevin and Donna and a great-aunt to Sebastian and Samuel. Esther was also blessed with enduring friendships of Catherine Keith, Eileen Kirkham, and Jenn Keith, who brought much joy and support into her life. Esther will be remembered for her kind nature and her creative spark.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated staff at Balsam Trail, a part of St. Joseph’s Villa in Dundas, Ontario, for their compassionate care and support.
