Our parents were good friends many years ago and our families spent considerable time together. I fondly remember when Eriks and then Diana were born. Elmars and Eleanor were so proud. We had so many fun times and great memories on Go Home Lake fishing, swimming, boating, skiing, eating and drinking!
I’m sure Eriks will be greatly missed by his whole family and friends. Gone, but never forgotten.

I had the pleasure of knowing the family during my childhood and as neighbours at my family home even now. I have incredibly fond memories at the Janson’s cottage during the summers and many of those memories include Erik’s taking us out on fast boat rides, helping us deck out the backyard shed into a clubhouse and the general assistance in whatever adventurous plan Laura and I came up with next. He was always eager to help us make the most of our childhoods and I will always appreciate and admire that of Eriks and the family <3
A quote that has carried me through times of loss is " Grief is just love with no place to go" and although it serves as a reminder of what feels missing in our hearts and lives it also is a reminder of the profound love we are capable of having for each other and that the love never goes away but transforms as life does.

It is with great sadness I send my condolences to Sandy and family.. Eriks was a great friend throughout our college days and loved by everyone for his kindness, sense of humour and loyalty. He was a good man and I send love to everyone especially his one and only Sandy.
Wherever Eriks may be now, I hope there is plenty of beer, boats and fishing.

Our hearts are broken and we share your pain at the loss of this wonderful friend and neighbor for over 27 years We will always remember his garage visits every week as he brought his famous home made pizza to watch the big game with his neighborhood buddies. He was a great friend during high school and I will always remember his incredible talent drawing speedboats, cars, planes and anything else for that matter.
Eriks encouraged me into my lifelong career in animation when he told me he was going to Sheridan after high school. For this I will always be greatful.
I only regret that we never reconnected later in life.

Words wont ever be enough. He was such a great guy. Warm, funny, strong and kind. The last time i saw Eriks was Easter. He and Holly were together outside, by the garage. Lots of Love and Trust at this awful time. Patti

Eriks was an exceptional human being. I’ve only known him for a year but feels like a lifetime. He was the life of the company. A great mentor and friend. Will miss his sense of humor most of all. Gone far too soon. My condolences to the Jansons family in this tough time.

I was heartbroken when I heard the news of Eriks untimely passing. Even though we have grown apart over the years, due to my career path, I still considered you and Eriks close friends.
We had some great times in our younger years. Camping trips, way to many hours spent at the coffee shop, shows with the band with Danny, Steve, Sean and Eriks.
I never got to know Eriks the father or husband, but the man I knew before that was an outstanding individual. Very talented, outgoing, fun loving and a great friend and partner to you.
I know that he will be sorly missed by all who ever knew Eriks over the years.
I’m sorry that I will not able to be there to help you, the kids, and all the family and friends to
celebrate Eriks life.

In a time when there are no words that can completely alleviate the feelings of grief, I hope it offers some comfort that Eriks was such a beloved figure in my and many others childhood memories, and lives on as those stories are passed on. Your house was always a safe and fun place to be and Eriks always had a role (along with the rest of your family) in fostering that environment. I’m so sorry to hear about Eriks sudden passing.
I briefly knew Eriks from the Friday night get togethers and saw what a great guy he was. My deepest condolences to the Jansons family.

I am very saddened to learn that Eriks has Passed. He was a true gentleman and always had some story to tell you. I worked with him At Acorn Packaging and will always remember how helpful he was towards me and all people in the plant.
