Peacefully, at Headwaters Health Care Centre, on Monday, December 10, 2018, Edith McMurdo, Orangeville, in her 97th year, beloved wife of the late Lloyd McMurdo. Loving mother of Marlene (deceased) and Joe Parnis, Sharon and Ben Highgate, Doug and Elizabeth McMurdo, Gary McMurdo and Gloria Blackmore, Jacqueline Landuyt and Fred Thibodeau, Peter McMurdo and Laura Bannon. Cherished grandmother of ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street S. (Hwy 50), Bolton (905-857-2213) on Wednesday morning, December 12 at 11 o’clock. Interment Glendale Memorial Gardens, 1810 Albion Road, Etobicoke. Condolences for the family may be offered at www.EganFuneralHome.com

Hello and goodbye for now grandma, I’m really sorry I’m not there, but your spirit is always with me, I have so many memories that I never forget of all the summers I spent with you.., from your famous blueberry pancakes( that all the grandkids loved on sundays lol) I still to this day never had them as good as you made them, grammas touch I guess! And how we would always write each other in the past, I’ll always cherish that! now your with grandpa,! I love you always and forever rest in peace gramma and be with the Angel’s, that you always were to me! love Tracy

Dear Grandma,
Hi Gram it’s Chrissy, you know tarcy Collen Chrissy …lol every summer as children you’d always mix our names up & we’d all make fun of you for it n we’d all laugh the biggest laugh, think you even called me Kathrine n Laurie a couple times too.. you always said too many grand girls lol… I remember our walks in the park by yr house n us whistling at the old boys playing bochi -ball again more laughter, always ice cream after dinner while we strolled about the park or sit in the back yard & we’d play cards ….swimming in the pool, my first crush with the pool boy, lol what was I thinking then …lol
I can go on n on some more like winter fair at the CNE you me uncle Doug & aunt Elsie, & then our times too with aunt Jesse & uncle Elmer.teaching me to yodil lady hoooo!n my self
just dancing away you’d always ask me to dance n sing for you ..grandma thank you for some of the best memories in my life, I remember too when grandpa passed (my dad’s dad) n you were shocked when I came running from the beach while having sooooo much fun with family first time at sauble Gary Ursula Collen Bradly you & me …n out of blue I said grandma take me home please cause grandpa died! I was almost 13 then n so scarred as this time I understood death n it was my other grandpa and as much as I missed Pop’s I knew I’d miss this grandpa too & you were my rock that Day as u knew he passed but you didn’t wanna ruin my day so you went against my dad n said what’s a day!…. I thank you for that day as it’s a day I’ll forever charrish
Grandma I’m sorry as I a grew older as we do & life becomes more about the hustle & bustle I didn’t spend the time with you as I once did ,that I truly regret I always made a point to call yet still I wish I would have visited more!
I wish I said I love you more, I’m gonna miss you sooooo much! You were a grandma alot of others would envious of so many grandkids n great grand kids n yet you loved us all sooooo very much!
I hope yr back in pop’s arms n you two are dancing now all the time!
Your now at peace & now an angel to watch over us all,
So it’s not goodbye, it never ever is
It’s just I’ll see ya later, n I love you with all my heart
My grandma blessed to call you mine
I love you always & I’m really gonna miss you so please haunt me , I can hear that wonderful laugh n you calling me crazy! ….lol you know me I say how I feel so I’ll keep on keeping on & pay attention a little more to angles now that your In heaven and God’s Angel aswell as all of ours too!
