It was 35 years ago that I met you and your wonderful family. You will all be carried in my heart forever Gord. Alan I’m so sorry for your loss. It was way to soon. The wonderful years we had a chance to share and still more to come. My love goes out to you both and your families. Hold tight to each other and don’t forget to tell each other how much you love them everyday. We never know what the next one will bring. Much love to all Kathy xo

To the Prain family:

I want to extend my condolences on the loss of Douglas. He was always positive, no matter what he was dealt in the game of life. I am sure that his brother Gordon and his family are deeply saddened, and for this I offer my deepest condolences and prayers. His brother Allan, I am sure that if aware is devastated, and for that I wish you nothing but good memories of your brother.
My fondest memory would be sitting in the back part of the racetrack with Allan and Douglas, playing a horse racing game on playstation 2, enjoying a drink and great conversation. I will always remember, cherish and enjoy the fond memories like this one.
Sincerely,
Cousin/Nephew/Son Michael

Condolence from Hannu Vesanen on December 29th, 2013 6:07 pm

I want to extend my deepest condolences to Allan and Gord for your loss of a great brother and my best friend for many years. I reached out to Doug in November to reconnect with him after loosing track of him. I wanted to know how he was and to get together. He added me to his Facebook page as a friend along with the many other friends he had. I was waiting for a reply back from him and then checked his page for a status only to learn of this tragedy. I was friends with Doug since I was about 14 and we were true friends who would have given anything to each other in time of need. We had many great times together and had laughs until our bellies ached. We always found something to do as young men and were always on the go. Doug was a big man with an even bigger heart and I will miss him dearly and remember all that we shared. I still tell stories of the great times I had with Doug and everyone ends up laughing.
Rest in Peace Doug and thanks for your friendship, your friend forever, Hannu.
