Peacefully at Headwaters Health Care Centre, Orangeville, on Tuesday, January 5, 2010, in his 82nd year, Doug Van Dusen of Orangeville, beloved long time companion of Dorothy Forsythe. Loving father of Tracey and her husband Bill Newton. Cherished grandfather of Jonathan and Brandon. Predeceased by daughter Cynthia Jean. Dear brother of Shirley Van Dusen and the late Claire and Audrey. Doug will be fondly remembered by Dorothy’s family as well as his nieces and nephews. Doug’s life philosophy was to live, love and laugh and he did this to the fullest. Due to Doug’s love of the Ottawa Valley, the family will receive their friends in All Saints Anglican Church, 1173 Victoria Street, Petawawa on Monday, January 11 from 10 o’clock until time of memorial service at 11 o’clock. Private family interment in the spring. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Ontario SPCA, Orangeville & District Branch, 650 Riddell Road, Orangeville L9W 5G5 (www.orangeville.ontariospca.ca) or All Saints Anglican Church, 1173 Victoria Street, Petawawa K8H 2E6.
