Dear Danielle and family,

I am so deeply sorry for your loss. Doug was an amazing man—kind, generous, and always ready to lend a helping hand. I’ll never forget how he went out of his way to help me with my Honda Civic, from towing it to fixing the little things. He was someone you could always rely on, and it was clear he genuinely cared for those around him.

His presence brought comfort and light to so many, and he will be deeply missed and never forgotten. Rest in paradise, Doug.

Doug, I have very fond memories from the few years I got to know you. You welcomed me into your home as if I were family. I will always cherish the memories I have, the trips to Jamaica, the demo derbies at the fall fair, or just hanging out at the farm house. It was always a good time when you were around. Miss you, rest in peace.

Doug you were a good friend for a long time. I will never forget Christmases spent with you and the family watching your kids grow and time spent at Heaven’s Gate Too many memories . You have left a legacy of Children and grandchildren. I will always remember you as my friend .

We loved Doug. Years at Heavens gate. The boat. The derby. You were always the blunt words giving the most heartfelt advice. My son drove for the first time with you. You let both boys move soil around with the excavator. You gave me the best parenting advice. We ate Airport pizza, shortbread and chocolate. Him of all people introduced me to Garage coolers. We would sit and have one…or maybe two..as we both were really not drinkers. He loved to bicker. We talked covid, masks and protests. He was passionate about all current events. He gave me the heads up about things on the scanner. Doug you taught us to love, be kind, stand up for who you are and what you believe in. For that we thank you. As Walter said…you taught him to grow some balls. We all know yours dragged. WE LOVE YOU BUD. RIP

I’d like to offer my condolences to the Walker family. I met Doug when I was in high school and we maintained our connection. He loved his family and sharing stories about them.

My deepest condolences to the Walker family I met Doug a few years ago super nice guy I was told about his passing the other day or else I would have been at the funeral he will be greatly missed we both shared the same crazy work occupation lots of laughs that’s for sure I will miss having breakfast with him when we used to meet up may you rest in peace Doug and we will see you again one day

Doug you are one of the greats. The 10 years we spent together taught me so much and for that i am grateful. I’ve witnessed so many acts of kindness towards your kids, your friends, and even complete strangers. You a man of strength and character rarely seen in this world.
Loving you and your children and allowing me to be part of the Walker family for so many years made me a better person and helped define the person I am today.
For that you will forever be in my heart and never forgotten.
