Condolence from Ken and Christina Graham on September 13th, 2020 8:02 pm

Many people remember Dorothy as one of the best secretaries at Palgrave Public School or seeing her work every year at the Bolton Fall Fair, but I got to know her better by working the elections as her partner. What a delight meeting such a kind, smiling , smart lady, who had a terrific sense of humour. There was no generational gap as we kidded each other all day like a couple of teenagers. I guess that is the secret to a long vibrant life. Dorothy will be surely missed in Bolton.

Sending condolences as you grieve the passing of your Mother/Grandmother. I met Dorothy at Macville PS, but got to know her better through Sarah Devins . Such talented, nimble fingered ladies they were……they quilted several quilts for me. We always had lovely visits at pickup time. I know how much she did in her Bolton community as well. She will be missed by so many . I am sure you have lots of wonderful memories an will hold her close in your hearts. Sincerely, Carolyn McKane

Dorothy has always been a part of everyone’s favorite memories. A truly wonderful person. Fred and Dorothy were good friends of my brother, Stu, in Nova Scotia and she certainly helped to make my time in Rebekahs meaningful. Gods garden just got a new helper. I hope you all keep some of her best recipes and remember her as you use/share them, she will like that.

Dorothy was a wonderful lady. I knew her when she worked at Palgrave School when my children attended there. I remember her leaving her secretarial duties to help the little ones get into their skates. I attended her retirement party which drew a large crowd.
For years I had the privilege of knowing her at Christ Church Bolton. Dorothy did a lot at the Church. My favorite thing that she did was bake the bread for Communion. She did this for many years. It was yummy.

Rest In Peace dear Dorothy!

Condolence from Ray and Isabelle Bottoms on September 15th, 2020 12:56 pm

Dorothy came to Bolton as a new bride. She could teach crochet and knitting, and came to Caven’s Women’s Guild at the invitation of a neighbour to learn about quilting.
Later, she became the treasured Chairperson of Arts and Crafts at Bolton Fair.
Dorothy enjoyed many fall trips to Mennonite country to obtain quilting supplies for charity quilts, and we travelled together on many bus trips as well.
She was a lady of many talents. Rest in peace dear friend.
