In loving memory of a beautiful woman, a life well lived with love and constant deeply rooted care for others.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Dorothy, in her amazing 98th year of life, on Saturday, June 20th, 2026 at Southlake Health, Newmarket.  Dorothy Frances Pride, born on Sunday, March 25th, 1928 a leap year, fittingly as unique as her, in the small village of Bolton.  Dorothy married on Saturday, June 12th, 1948 to the love of her life, William (Bill).  They spent 78 inseparable years together enjoying each other, family and friends.  A love full of loyalty, truth and soul connection, admired by all.  It was in the rural community of Schomberg that Bill and Dorothy built their home where they would gather and host for many years to come; welcoming all; from friends to great-grandchildren, surrounded by many loving neighbours.  Family gatherings, theatre outings, meals with friends and trips with Hamilton Tours were some of her favourites.  Dorothy, a much loved wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, sister-in-law and aunt.  She will be sadly missed by many friends, family and her newly formed community, her Elden family.

Dorothy will live on in our hearts forever.

We are very sad to hear about Dorothy. I remember how involved Dorothy and Bill were at the Good Shepherd church, then met up again at Christ Church Bolton. We remember her kindness to everyone.
God bless your family in this difficult time.
