In the few short years that I knew Doris in the Eastern Star I found her to be a warm, caring lady. I will miss her friendly smile and know that she is now at peace and in a better place. My deepest sympathy goes out to Barb, her family and friends over this difficult time. Regards – Lee Donald

I was so sorry to see the sad news about Doris. We Dorises have to stick together so I always made a point of seeking her out. She was so talented with her hands. She made me a beautiful pin when I was installed as Matron of Valley Chapter and I plan to wear it when I come for the Star service even if it is a poinsettia!

I was glad to see you and Doris at the time of Edna Johnston passing, It was just one year ago now.

There are no words that make you feel better, only the love of family and friends that surround you at this difficult time,

Barb – I am sadden to hear of the passing of your mother. She was a loving, caring and sympathetic individual and lets not forget a she had a great sense of humour. For me, she came to be like a second mother. I am going to miss her newsy Christmas cards. My thoughts are with you at this time of sorrow.

Sorry to hear of Doris passing. Our Tuesday mornings were always great stories and anything new around the area . She was a great lady and I will miss her .Know that she always will be with you and watching over you.

We are going to miss the fact that when we did drop in, we could always count on Tea and Cake .. Always was thankful for the time she spent with Dad and the Good Humour she brought , hopefully they can get together for a card game now they are together.
